I discovered in the files on this device someone's homework for a law class from 2008! Adding it to my collection of found data with anonymous authors.
It's pretty light and straightforward. My dotfiles has a list of base packages you'd want for a functioning desktop, I can link that to you if you want.
@dorian for being able up use it? Command line only Linux of some variety.
That's what I am going to do with mine that I'm keeping (bought it in 2009). Because even lightweight gui's aren't light enough for this old a netbook. 😅
@akko@dorian if that's comparable to my S10e that's 32-bit and 32-bit arch is third-party
I can confirm Debian works alright on it though, and Haiku is neat but the S10e in particular has USB issues with it. Maybe plan 9 of some sort could be neat too.
@dorian ha! I have one as well, maybe not that exact model, but yeah. My absolute fav atm. I tried several things on it, actually settled for Lubuntu, pretty happy with it.
